One night, in bed, I was thinking about my day. I became frustrated about something that happened. But this triggered a cycle. I thought of why I was frustrated, and then I felt more frustrated. Then another frustration thought came, and became even more frustrated. I know what I am talking about, don’t you? (emotion-thought-emotion-thought…)
Thought and emotion feed on each other. I suggest you to stop the cycle just by being the emotion you feel.Simply name the emotion. Just say”Be sadness!,or be frustration!, be fear!,”
“Just be anger!”Then watch how the feeling of anger simply disappears. Then you can put your attention back on having a peaceful day.
